The first half of 2024 is over, the time has come to take stock of our impact on the environment.
Despite a very difficult economic context in the field of recycling and plastics processing, GENERAL INDUSTRIES via its production subsidiary 1.08 RECYCLAGE has processed more than 7,000 tonnes of incoming materials mix at its BLYES industrial site.
We provide solutions to increase the material recovery rate of this waste which was previously either buried or less recycled.
Our half-yearly production amounts to more than 3,000 tonnes of regenerated plastics and 350 tonnes of crushed materials.
The primary objective of our company is to create secondary raw materials, 100% from post-consumer waste, with a lower ecological impact, thus reducing the overall environmental footprint of our industrial activity.
Thanks to the ICV carried out by the SRP union, we inform you that we have saved more than 9,000 tonnes of CO2 thanks to the recycling and marketing of our finished products, replacing virgin material.
In addition, our photovoltaic installation produced 220 MWh of green energy this semester, 80% of which was directly introduced and used by our production tools.
Together, GENERAL INDUSTRIES and 1.08 RECYCLAGE, continue their efforts to transform our French economy towards a circular economy serving the world of tomorrow.
